San Fernando Teaching Hospital

This is the worst place to visit no assistance whatsoever. Wait time to see a doctor 5+ hours. Staffs are very disgusting especially the doctors.

Visited here with my son for a surgery I must say I am surprised at the changes here. The parking is frustrating but all the staff in ward five pediatric was amazing everyone was so nice they made you feel like family and not only the staff of ward five but everyone I interacted with was nice and friendly and made my son very comfortable. Thank you all.

Great facilities for the patients, parking is limited, and the elevator takes forever and stops at almost every floor. Currently visiting of patients is restricted to only 2 visitors per patient (no Interchangeing). Visiting hours are from 11 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 6 pm everyday

I can imagine how much blood these people have on their hands. Sad thing is, they don’t care! Incompetent, ignorant, rude people working in here! The highlight of all is, these people went to school to become doctors and nurses and they don’t know ANYTHING! Just run the other way!

If I could give this place negative 1000 stars I would. The condition of this hospital isn't suited for your animals let alone your loved ones. As many have mentioned it is truly a grave yard. If you need help, I would very STRONGLY suggest taking the time to go elsewhere, heaven knows you will get there faster and receive better care than in the time you sit around waiting for these people to decide to help you.

A graveyard not a hospital as most don't make it home. Anyone with anything positive to say don't know the pain this hospital have caused. Lots of blood on yall hands.

A lovely hospital but bad and very traumatic sad experiences and memories. It is the cemetary for most of my love ones and relatives. This hospital makes me cry when ever I see it. Iam affected deeply emotionally. It gives a phobia. I hope changes takes place to match state of the art technologies there and compliment the few good ones of the medical staff and technicians whose is always available to be of service to save lives. More good brings about a better good for us to say in the future its the best. The old bad days are gone and a new safe and smooth clean beginning. Thanks to the few who were good to me and my remaining family of two. Best Wishes.

Called to ask if they can use their PA system so that I can locate my grandmother because her phone’s dead AND THEY SENT ME STRAIGHT TO VOICEMAIL TWICE! Horrible!

I am a cancer patient who came in my pain in my calves arms.at 6.30 am.the pain was unbearable. I told the nurse I had aDVT before due to chemo. I was left to sit there in pain from 6.30am to 11.30 pm.these young Emergency Doctors.have no idea how to determine an emergency. God help us all.thanks to Dr Shaw

I mean do i need to say it. (some not all) of the staff from doctors straight to those security have the utmost disgusting mannerisms.lord help us.

This maybe the second largest publicly run government hospital in Trinidad & Tobago located in the southern part of Trinidad. Responsible for all medical cases of public health. Though certain tropical diseases can present challenges to some health officers here for example malaria. Generally good and the staff try to do their jobs as best as they can. Never had problems visiting patients here

Doctors, nurses, attendants, receptionist and security are the most beastly people found at the SFGH.
On 31/10/19 my mother a senior citizen was in a serious car accident. She went to Sfgh at 6pm. Her Xray was called at 8: 10pm. But attendants refused to push her. She got xray at 10.25 PM. She spent almost 2days in the emergency room. No sleep, nothing to eat and NO medication was given to her for relieve her pain. Shift changed 4 times, and each time we started from the beginning to do all tests again. Drs Amber Hassanali, Bridgemohan, Kalloo or something to that effect and 2 other doctors poorly attended to my mother. Dr Kalloo he was the worst one of all.

They have some of the nicest nurses and doctors there to assist you. The only issue is the amount of time you need to wait until you actually see a doctor. But I can understand since this a 3rd world developing country, the health care is free and also there is a lot of people. The taken is Especially dependent on your medical situation as well. This is just my opinion

Horrible experience. Two times in 1 week did they "misplaced" my grandmother's file. How do you lose a file? ! Long waiting times. What's the point of an appointment? ! One of the ladies in the pharmacy was being so unessarily rude. Really talking out of place and even when you go to ask a question or inquire. They also give you attitude.like you owe them something. What kind of place is this to call a hospital when the nurses and some off the employees who work there treat the patients and their families with no respect. I think that defeats the purpose of helping their patients. Very unorganized, disrespectful and I swear I would die just waiting to see the doctors as they take all fricken day. Hire more doctors and nicer employees for the pharmacy and nurses. The people of Trinidad deserve to have better customer service especially to be visiting the hospital for whatever the circumstances. It's nice to be appreciated and acknowledge.

I visited a patient in this hospital earlier this month. I was pleasantly surprised with firstly the building's appearance, the parking facilities, and customer services. I would rate this facility as excellent. A perfect place for patients to convalesce. An awesome view from any window.

Very good building, up to mark, but won't last another 12 years as cheap material used by the builders.very sad how government over pay contractor's to get back money.anywhoo.staff very good, lots of patients for the right people. Dr's friendly and down to earth
