Many people dislike going to do business at government agencies and this is just another one of them. There used to be an appointment system for many transactions, now they have removed it and it's first come first served. I joined a vehicle line at 8: 45 and my transaction ended at 2: 15. This is ridiculous. I went another day to do business, joined the line at 9: 00 and finished at 12: 45. I then sat inside for 2 hours before it was my turn. Besides dealing with the lengthy processes, the drinks machine was not working and even the workers there said it gives trouble. In order to get something to drink, a walk outside and across the road will lead you to sheds with various vendors. The license officers who dealt with us spoke to us as though we were criminals even though everything we had was legitimate. Some were even rude to us. The cashier spoke to people as though he was the Minister of Works and Transport himself. The only person who was reasonably polite was the security, clerk and the receptionist. There are many vacant counters inside so maybe they are short staff. Every 5-6 counters you will see just one person. Even do something simple as collect a certified copy took one hour. That one hour entailed standing in a line for 40 minutes then waiting for 20 minutes. Parking can be an issue when it's busy. Not a nice place to do business as they are very slow. More online systems should be developed to ease the time people spend at your Ministry. Other than that, good luck and be very happy if your transaction is efficient, quick and easy. You may be lucky.

Hardly anything is easily accomplished here, very long and frustrating waiting.

Service sucks. Phone system sucks. More competent staff is needed. As a government service we have no choice. Soo wygd.

There is a lot of parking however when I went to park persons were saying that some of the parking is for staff however there is no signage. Come on Ministry of works are you telling me that you can't put spaces for your staff so that the public would have an idea of where to park. Come on! And not to mention Traffic management Branch office is in the same building and no one seeing a need for signs. Wake up please we looking for more. The Licensing building has no sign on it saying this is the Licensing Office Caroni. Come on! Please put up a sign on the building and one more time there is a old beat up looking tent right as you enter the licensing compound please the tent should not be there it looks horrible please move it.

Everybody needs to triple check documents issued. My certified copy had two different "Tare Weight". Have to go back in for them to correct.

Very impressed with the new Licensing Office in Caroni. Hope it always stays this way.
