Couva District Hospital

One of the better organised public facility. Friendly, efficient, accommodating for the most part.

The absolute worst. I spent seven and a half hours without even getting to see a doctor and when I explained that I have not eaten a thing and fearful to move to get something to eat, I'm told by the receptionist "well you're next so it don't make sense moving after waiting so long" or " it have three emergency cases". So what y'all want me to collapse from dehydration and become an emergency case myself before I'm taken seriously? Terrible "Best in the world" service!

There is a great deal that you can tell from washrooms. The washrooms at the Couva Health Facility are sanitary and show that someone cares.
The doctors, nurses and all staff were professional and cordial today when I had to visit. Although they are understaffed and overworked, the facility is clean and comfortable but is showing that it needs a maintenance upgrade as evidenced by the missing lights and peeling paint among other things.
I pray that soon this facility would get an upgrade. I would like to express sincere gratitude for their care.

The doctor and nurses were extremely pleasant and helpful. (Mind you i saw some patients getting a lil buff up but that was because they came in with no mask). Saw my emergency case promptly and professionally. I think the A&E section here is really great as this is not my 1st positive interaction with them.

The space is very organized, the waiting period is a bit long.maybe, because we are in a pandemic, the actual staff could be tired and overworked at this juncture thus causing a bit of a backup.the wait did not bother me that much as I was there for a particular reason.

The doctors at this hospital has horrible attitudes. They are very rude and disrespectful to the relatives of patients. We simply asked for some information on the our relative who was in a severe accident and the response was "if you want any information go to San Fernando Hospital! " Really, is this what our hard earned taxes pay for. These people have absolutely no empathy and should probably be working in a different environment and not have to deal with humans. It truly is sad that the medical field which used to have caring people now have heartless money mongers as doctors. The Minister should send his undercover persons there to flush out these people and bring some heart and care back to the medical field in T & T.

My mother received treatment promptly. The staff were thorough, and we have no complaints. We did spend the day there, but considering all the patients that had to be seen, it was understandable. We had to do one of the blood tests privately though. When I filled her prescription at the dispensary, they were very prompt and efficient. Remember to carry the clinic card to the dispensary when filling the prescription.

With the exception to the very very rare occasions when you are treated like a human being by the doctors and nurses, The quality of the service is just horrible! Sitting in a waiting room for the entire day and still having to return the following day only to be treated like trash by the staff or leave with a diagnosis that may or may not be accurate, prescription that doesn't even work and to add insult to injury the calls to the centre go unanswered so a patient has to revisit the centre if a question arises due to their condition and start that hideous agonizing process all over again.two stars is being generous but due to the few doctors and nurses that take pride in what they do and display genuine care for their patients I must commend you all keep it up
