Community Hospital of Seventh-day Adventists

I have been to this hospital a few times for different procedures. The only problem I ever had with this place is the clerk. She is late to work, rude and disrespectful. I found a better private hospital to spend my money.

Went in there for an emergency on Labour Day, not a single person in the waiting area. Took about ten minutes with my mother walking up a down the halls looking for assistance until a visitor told us we had to speak to the cashier. Honestly, how are people supposed to know that, and why the hell don't they have a highly visible person to interact promptly with new arrivals. That's just idiotic.
Anyway, I finally saw a nurse and a Dr. Rush, whose bedside manners were exceptional. Totally respectful and empathetic and it was interesting to see the banter between him and the nurse.
I think it would be safe to assume that is not the average level of care in this hospital but yet it is the reason why I am giving four stars for the experience (and not necessarily the hospital) with the only blemish being the poor initial contact process. The costs wasn't too bad either.

There’s no words to describe how POOR the service of this place really is. The attitude of the staff is horrible! Walked an entire floor looking for assistance and not a staff in sight. When we finally found a nurse she had a highly unpleasant attitude, saying that you’re supposed to go the cashier first before doing anything. After dealing with this cashier the patient is there waiting over a half hour for another nurse to come with a doctor on her phone on loud speaker to ask what symptoms he’s having there is no way anyone should be treated the way they treat you, especially as health care providers that isn’t free! Absolutely disappointing and distasteful!

Worst hospital ever. My father Mr Asban Granger has been here 3 day now. $12000 has been taken from him, but no answer to his medical condition.

After depositing $10,000 on Sept 1st 2021 they have now taken the money, and want to transfer him to Port of Spain hospital.
These seven day advantage people.

They have no clue what they are doing. A simple thing and they had me there, making money and could not help. They did not even give me a stemitil for my dizziness. Guess the doctors don't know of it!

The staff are caring and frendly. While there is room for improvement with respect to timeliness in certain areas such as making payments, the quality of care is very good. Unlike the general hospital these people are more kind and one does get through in a shorter space of time. As an HR practitioner, I am of the view that with a measure of restructuring the hospital could provide a higher level of service.

Asthma attack and they gave us a waiting time of an hour! Had to leave of course, would have died.

A patient should not have to wait two hours plus to "pay" to see a doctor! It's just like POS General Hospital except it's NOT FREE! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!
